Heal Yourself With Dry Salt Therapy

Salt Therapy, also referred to as HaloTherapy, is a simple and natural therapeutic treatment in which salt vapors are used to treat respiratory ailments, skin irritation, and overall mental wellness in a climate-controlled environment such as a Salt Room or Salt Cave.

Salt Caves are the trend of spa technologies in Europe and the United States and are a modern and holistic method of treating many respiratory problems.

Salt Therapy removes you from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and helps with stress, depression and anxiety. There are no side effects and each 50-minute session takes place inside our beautiful Himalayan Salt Cave to optimize the benefits of the treatment. As you step into the cave and sit back in our zero gravity chairs at Four Elements Salon and Spa, you will enter a state of relaxation, rejuvenation and healing that only Salt Therapy can bring.

Salt Cave Questions and Answers

  • What is Halo-Therapy?

The word halo-therapy comes from the Greek word halo, meaning salt. It is a modern holistic method that mimics the micro climates of the salt mines. It is created by a special device called a halo-generator. Tiny particles of pharmaceutical grade salt are dispensed into the air and the air is saturated by the salt. It is then controlled and monitored.

  • Are there side effects?

It is 100% natural. There are no contraindications or side effects. You may experience a slight cough or runny nose during or after the session due to the salt doing its work to remove mucus and toxins from the airways.

  • What can I expect?

During your 50-minute halo-therapy session you will relax in zero gravity chairs while listening to calm relaxation music. The lighting is dim. We will provide a blanket for your comfort. You can take a nap, meditate, or just relax and enjoy some quiet time away from your busy schedule while reaping the benefits of the salt therapy.

  • What do I wear in the cave?

No special attire. If you are trying to treat skin problems you may want to expose those areas to the salt. Shoes are not permitted so please bring clean white socks.

  • How many people can fit in the cave at one time?

    The cave has 10 chairs.

  • Will other people be in the cave with me?

Possibly, depending on scheduleding appointments. If it is a weekend most likely the seats will be full.

  • Can I request no one be in the cave with me?

If you would like the cave to yourself, you would have to pay for the hour in order to have only your group in the cave. It is $450 for the session on weekends and $350 for a session during the week. A 50% deposit will be required(not refundable without a 72 hour cancellation).

  • What is the temperature in the cave?

We keep the temperature set between 68 and 72 degrees.

  • Is it humid?

No. It is dry salt therapy.

  • Will I sweat or will my hair get frizzy from the salt?

    No.

  • Can I bring food or drink in the cave?

    No.

  • Can I read in the cave?

The lights are dim, making reading difficult.

  • Can I bring my cell phone / Kindle / laptop?

No. It is an electronic free zone.
